CIME.utils.compset_lacks_cpl_log
- CIME.utils.compset_lacks_cpl_log(case)[source]
Test if, based on the compset, this case lacks a cpl log file. For some models, this is true for single component standalone configurations such as FKESSLER.
Returns a 2-element tuple, where the first element is a boolean specifying whether this case lacks a cpl log file, and the second element is the single active component in this standalone configuration (for a return value of True) or None (for a return value of False).
This is meant to agree with logic in CMEPS (in buildnml and buildexe) that has special handling of these standalone configurations: the mediator (CPL component) is not included in these standalone configurations, so we need some extra logic in CIME to avoid looking for a mediator log file.
To agree with the CMEPS logic: A case is not considered standalone if its one non-stub component is a data component.
If the standalone_compset_lacks_cpl_log config variable is False, this always returns (False, None).
